John Harney

I took this on my Nikon F4. This is a bit of train line just adjacent to campus. I like coming down here either to take pictures of containers passing through or the tracks themselves. I love the images that his area produces: a functional, man-made area overseen by trees acting as outposts of nature.

I call this “mid-shift” because of the pose of the person leaving the frame. Carrying a bag full of… tools? His lunch? But he’s not yet done for the day. He’ll be back to this big, open space.
